Lucifer season 5 first look shows Inbar Lavi Is Back as the first woman

When fans last saw Lucifer on Netflix, the titular Devil played by Tom Ellis sat atop his throne in hell once more. despite seeing him on earth (Eart-666 to be precise) during hour 3 of crisis on unlimited Earths, we don’t know how or why Lucifer Morningstar will return to the mortal plane for the fifth and final season of the show. The fourth season of Lucifer debuted in early May, so it’s likely that the fifth season will release in a few months. Of course, the final season of Lucifer ended up extended to 16 episodes, so they might even split the final season into two chunks, as Netflix did with their other rescued-from-cancellation series Arrested Development. One thing we do know about Lucifer season 5 is that Inbar Lavi will reprise her role as Eve, according to a first look from home entertainment Weekly.

In the fourth season, Lavi’s Eve showed up Lucifer’s nightclub having escaped from Heaven. She wanted to really experience life and reconnect with her former Satanic side-piece. After rekindling her relationship with Lucifer, Eve moved on to Lesly-Ann Brandt’s Mazikeen. Finally, at the end of the season, she left all of them behind to go on a journey of self-discovery. So, it only makes sense that Inbar Lavi will be back as Eve for Lucifer season 5. Both for story reasons and because, as it is the final season, we’ll likely see a lot of returning characters.

On her Instagram story today, Lavi shared a photo from a table read she attended, though she blurred out details on the script and table placard. So, we don’t know how soon in the series she will return. We also got another bit of casting news last month, as actor Dennis Haysbert will appear final season as an essential character. Haysbert will play none other than father himself, the Almighty God. fans of 24 will likely be pleased as Haysbert played the president on that series. D.B. Woodside, who plays Amenadiel, also appeared on that show as Haysbert’s brother and another president. The ninth episode of the final season will be titled “Family Dinner,” so it will be very interesting to see who shows up at the table.
