another week, another chance to spend our hard-working dollars on some 22-ish pages of comic book goodness. Sure, we have our subscriptions, but new series and specials are always coming out that should have recognition. The March 29th slate of DC Comics is all about specials. One even has “special” in the title! So, what are the three titles you must absolutely add to your pull list?
Batman: beyond the White Knight #1 Brings us to the DC Black label Future of Comics

Batman: The White Knight was one of the early DC Black label successes (with Paul Dano’s Riddler: Year One soon to follow). considering that the original series, there have been a few follow-ups, including one focusing on Harley Quinn. but the newest one, arriving March 29th from DC Comics, brings the world of Batman beyond to The White Knight. We’re also getting the Red Hood and some elements from DC Future State. From the solicitation:

BOOK ONE

Shadow War: Alpha might Be the most Consequential DC Comics Title for March 29th

Deathstroke and Deathstroke Incorporated vs Batman and Ronin vs Tahlia Al Ghul and the league of Shadows. So, yeah, this is going to be one epic war. This event is Joshua Williamson’s baby, spreading out over Batman, Deathstroke Inc, and Robin. If DC Comics manages to hit the ground running with the March 29th kickoff, this could be another great Batman event in a long streak of impressive Dark Knight crossovers. given the players, it certainly looks like it will be the most violent. When Deathstroke assassinates Ra’s al Ghul, Talia al Ghul demands revenge and sends her league of shadows to kill Deathstroke and Deathstroke Inc.! Batman and Robin need to team up to track down Deathstroke and bring him to justice…but do they? expect over-the-top fights, action, mystery, and betrayal as this crossover event creates a major impact on the DCU!

Sensational wonder woman special Celebrates international Women’s Day, DC Comics Style

Of course, wonder woman is the epitome of a strong female character. Intelligence, grace, strength, and beauty. She’s so strong – in every way – that she doesn’t even feel the need to get a lot more power. In fact, at the end of Dark Nights: death Metal, the creators of the universe chose her to ascend beyond godhood…but she turned them down. That’s just badassery. So, it makes sense that for March 29th, international Women’s Day, DC Comics would want to highlight the most popular woman in the superhero genre with a grand anthology special.
