Highlights This Week: another of Marvel’s big 70th anniversary titles reverts back to its original numbering Daredevil #500. The big question is: how will Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark leave this storyline for the next creative team? also features the first writing on Daredevil by classic DD writer Ann Nocenti in quite some time; Blackest night is represented this week in Blackest night Superman #1 (of 3); who is the new Batgirl in the all-new Batgirl #1?; J. Michael Straczynski’s revamp of the Archie Superhero line continues this week with Red Circle: The web #1; Archie Andrews proposes to Veronica Lodge in Archie #600; DC’s new Vertigo crime imprint debuts this week with two graphic novels: best-selling crime writer Ian Rankin’s Dark entries featuring Hellblazer’s John Constantine and Brian Azzarello’s unclean Rich; flourish Studios’ popular line of Pixar comics continues with Monsters Inc: Laugh factory #1 (of 4); Dark horse releases a lot more of their amazing Warren magazine reprints in the Eerie Archives volume 2 hardcover; Alex Ross spins off a lot more of his popular Dynamite series with project Superpowers: meet the bad people #1 (of 4); marvel releases Kurt Busiek and Carlos Pacheco’s Avengers forever for the first time in 8 years, and for the first time in hardcover! fans of artist James Jean will have to have Kindling: The James Jean Poster book featuring works presented during the artist’s first exhibition at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in new York. AND, the people from big Bang theory make a cameo appearance in Power girl #4. You can see it first here.
